In the golf swing you are not moving weight, you are transferring force. If you try to shift weight you will tend to sway. So it is not a weight shift, it is a force transfer. On my backswing I move force into the trail heel. Then as I change directions, force goes into my lead foot, towards the ball of the foot. As I swing through the ball my force in my lead foot goes to the lead heel. You play the game more from your heels than you do your toes.
