The Lag Shot club can not only bend the club shaft but can also twist the clubface, so there is torque.
You want to swing the club nice and slow because you want to be able to feel the club load and make sure the clubface doesn’t twist wide open. You must be sure that the club comes down in the proper arc and that your right hand is in the correct position so you can hit a draw.
When the club loads, you have to get the club back out in front of you, so when you catch the clubface up, you will hit a nice draw.
It looks easy, but you need to get the momentum of the club going. If you get out ahead of the club, pull, or get too quick, the face will open, and you will hit slices.
This drill will help you control the flight of the ball.
