The point of this training tool is to cause your arms to straighten out in order to train acceleration. Acceleration is a fundamental part of the golf swing, but unless you arrive to that position properly, you risk training making a position appear. As I have talked about before, the golf swing is not a sequence of positions, it is a flow. Therefore, you have to be careful with all tools so that you are training the natural flow and not an artificial position.
